www.engelska.se This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced senior leader to join Internationella Engelska Skolan Johanneberg, in the role of Assistant Principal. Working closely with the existing Senior Leadership Team at IES Johanneberg, the successful candidate will lead the school's academic and pastoral work in all D, E and F-classes. The candidate needs to have a comprehensive understanding of both concepts and be able to ensure that they are embedded into our curriculum as well as the Ethos of IES.
Visible leadership is critically important at IES Johanneberg and the successful candidate will be able to balance the need to be a clear, calming and motivating presence within the school alongside the ability to work with the strategic development of both academic and pastoral areas of the school. The candidate will be forward thinking, a positive role model and have the ability to inspire both staff and students. While working within the agreed board academic and pastoral frameworks, the candidate is expected to be autonomous with the ability to think creatively and find solutions to complex problems. The successful candidate will have; teaching qualifications, a proven track record of academic and pastoral excellence, a long experience of working in schools and a commitment to working with all aspects of senior leadership within a challenging but rewarding educational context.

IES Johanneberg (Gothenburg) opened in August of 2010 with 560 students in grades 7-9. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English.
