Assistant principal/Biträdande rektor 100%
Internationella Engelska skolan Lund is looking for an Assistant principal to lead our junior school (mellanstadiet) You will be responsible for both pastoral and academic development in the junior school and you will line manage all staff in the junior school. You will be a part of the leadership team at the school together with the Principal, Assistant principal for the senior school (högstadiet) , Academic Manager and the school economist.
IES Lund has developed rapidly over the past 6 years since it started in 2013 with a growth from 67 students to 720. We are now one of the largest compulsory schools in Lund and also one of the most popular with 4800 students in the queue. Due to this, we are developing our organisation into two "schools" within the one school lead by an Assistant Principal each.
We have 12 classes in year 4-6 and 12 classes in year 7-9. The staff totals 70 people, both teaching and non teaching staff. About 20-25 of them are directly attached to the junior school.
We are looking for someone with a teaching background with some experience of school leadership either in management or middle management. You need to have some experience of pastoral care. You must be calm and well organized, capable of operating independently within a given frame work and in the same time be a well functioning team player.
Ability to cope with stress is a given requirement and a good sense of humor is a good asset for the job.
The school is situated in the beautiful St Lars park in the south part of the city. This area used to be a mental hospital but now is the campus for 12 independent schools, including preschool and upper secondary schools
