We are a group of assignment managers that are responsible for managing field quality assignments within the product area Cab. Now we are looking for an assignment manager that will be dedicated to paint related field quality items.
Your role
Starting from a customer issue, your task will be, together with your project team, to find the root cause and ensure that the quality issue is corrected both in production and on the field. You will work in a cross functional team where you as an assignment leader will have the important job to lead, inspire, motivate and ensure that we keep our promises to end customer, Scania production and other stakeholders involved in the project.
The field quality issues are solved in teams that is put together by the assignment manager specifically for each case. The teams will include Field Quality Engineers, Purchasing, Design, Material planning, Spare Parts (to mention a few). You as an assignment manager will have the responsibility to ensure that the assignment is managed and that a solution is introduced with lead time and quality in focus. The tempo will be high with a demand to introduce quality assured solutions quickly.
Continuous improvement has a central position within the Scania organization, also within our group. We strive to improve processes as well as our ability as leaders. Our ultimate goal is to minimize or ultimately avoid negative consequences for our end customers.
This role may require some travelling (sometimes with a short notice) between the production units and Research & Development center in Sweden as well as to suppliers.
Your profile
You have an engineering degree (chemistry or material science) or equivalent experience from a professional career. You have experience from paint shops, industrial painting or other kind of surface treatment. You are familiar with drawings and standards and understand the basics of industrial design.
You are familiar with the art of project management and feel comfortable with following a process. Sometimes there will be a need for cutting corners but this must never be done on the expense of the quality assurance.
As a leader you are passionate about creating a team where determination and integrity marks the atmosphere. You are well aware of the fact that removing roadblocks and clearing the way is an important success factor for your team.
As a person you are a creative and process-oriented doer that finds it easy to cooperate and take the lead without being dominant.
The position can be located at Scania Sweden or Scania Netherlands. Fluent in English is a demand, Swedish and/or Dutch is a merit.
