Role Summary
As an Assignment Manager within Engine Development – Product Quality, you will lead cross-functional product quality projects focusing on engines currently in operation at customer sites worldwide. The role combines technical problem-solving with leadership and coordination in a global context.
You will be part of a highly experienced team driving quality improvement initiatives from root cause analysis through solution development and implementation. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain deep insight into TRATON's product development processes, engine technology, and collaboration across brands such as Scania, MAN, and Navistar.
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
Job Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects (FQ) from problem definition to implementation in production
Drive root cause analysis and develop sustainable technical solutions in collaboration with R&D, production, purchasing, suppliers, and aftermarket
Balance solution effectiveness, cost, and time-to-implementation when driving decisions
Build and maintain a strong stakeholder network across TRATON brands and global engine plants
Actively contribute to system groups by monitoring quality performance and recommending new quality initiatives
Who You Are
You are a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented individual who enjoys engaging others and leading teams toward shared goals. You have an engineering degree or equivalent and several years of professional experience, preferably in a technical or project-oriented environment. While deep technical expertise in all areas is not required from day one, you are curious and motivated to continuously build your understanding of engine technologies. You communicate confidently in English, both spoken and written, and are comfortable working in an international setting.
