The section Functional & Software Engineering develops applications and embedded systems for use in Renault, Mack, Nissan and Volvo trucks. The development is done in a global environment with suppliers from around the world. Work is conducted cross-functional with colleagues from different areas like Product Design, Production, Purchasing and Aftermarket.
The Assignment Leader group is focusing on:
Coordination and management of development assignments both internally and at suppliers
Coordination and management of the implementation and integration of an ECU with it’s sensors and actuators
Technical coordination for a specific assignment within GEEE, 3P, other commodities, AM and GM
The development department is located at Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Volvo 3P Gothenburg Sweden, and we are now looking for an
Assignment Leader
As Assignment Leader you will manage a project team of 1-4 component owners. You shall secure a continuous communication with function developers, verification engineers, other commodities and also production and aftermarket.
Together with suppliers you will develop HW and SW components of our electronic and electrical system.
Your tasks will be typical project management activities in the implementation phase such as detailed time planning, leading project team meetings, risk management, etc. Within the responsibility lies also to lead the integration of the sub-systems with sensors and actuators. All concerned HW and SW components are bought from suppliers, and the main responsibility is to be the PD contact towards the supplier and perform a continuously follow-up of the supplier.
The development is done in a global environment with colleagues and suppliers from around the world.
We believe you have some of these qualifications:
Master of Science degree in electronics
Experience from design of embedded systems
Methods and standards for embedded SW systems development (i.e. SPICE/CMMI)
Previous experience from the automotive industry
Experience of Automotive Supplier Management
Leadership skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
And, of course, a big general interest in the automotive area.
