Scania Engines is a Scania product area with the responsibility to develop and market Engines for a broad range of (I)ndustrial and (M)arine applications. The business is managed as a "company within the company", based on synergies with a clear profitability target above the general Scania targets.

At Technical Development within I/M-Engines, we are responsible for the development of complete engines, including base engine, cooling systems, electrical systems and after-treatment throughout the complete project and product lifecycle. The development is mainly done by own staff, but also with outsourced resources in, and support from, the general Scania R&D organisation.

The I/M-Engines Quick Team is responsible for cross-functional work with quality differences detected by end customers or in our own production. The challenge is to introduce the right measures for both the production and after-market where you are in the middle of the project and drive your work forward. We have the entire engine, cooling and after treatment systems as a work area, which provides varied tasks and the opportunity to learn and see the whole.

In your everyday life you will be responsible for both less complex deviations, but also the opposite of both production and delivery stops as a possible consequence. Less complex cases usually resolve yourself, while complex cases may require a complete root case analysis (RCA) where you stand in the middle and lead the work along with surrounding functions.

The goal is to find countermeasures (STA) within 24h and long term solution (LTA) within 10 days. As a support you have a group of colleagues with many years of experience and different skills. You will have a wide network of contacts, including production, design and purchasing as well as daily contacts with our partner organization in Sao Paulo.

Your profile
As a member of I/M Quick Team, you have an engineering degree or equivalent with focus in product development, production and purchasing process.

As a person, you have the end customer demands in focus, based on quality principles, responsibility and commitment. You are significantly structured, analytical and solution-oriented. You have the competence of leading and follow-up assignments, by motivating and engaging other people in the process and owns the ability to build relationships and network.

It 's expected that you are fluent in Swedish (speech and writing) and since the assignment work involves international contacts and the most of documents are reported/communicated in English, you need to manage then English in both speech and writing. Additional languages are meritorious.

Our offer
As a Scania employee you are offered, in addition to personal and professional development opportunities, benefits; option to sign an agreement for an employee car, mutual bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Job Express.
