Application Delivery(AD) has the mission to achieve a high level of efficiency within Volvo IT's application delivery and to develop, maintain and support business application solutions that meets customers' demands for functionality, quality, efficiency and time to market.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, organising, reporting and following up on an Application Management assignment
• Responsible for a professional relationship with assignment stakeholders
• Responsible for developing the assignment charter and ensuring that it is communicated to all assignment stakeholders
• Responsible for carrying out the assignment work according to agreed cost and time
• Responsible for ensuring that the solution produced is achieving the agreed quality
• Responsible for reporting the results, deviations and plan in the assignment work to the customer and within the line organisation
• Ensure that service levels objectives and/or OLA targets, if applicable to the assignment, are reached and contribute to SLA fulfilment.
Application Management Assignment Leader general profile:
Assignment leaders within Application Management are leading the assignments within our Run time service deliveries, that is support and maintenance activities in a specific application portfolio. The assignment leader is authorised to manage and distribute the work of the assignment staff and thus needs to have the ability to create an efficient and trustful day-to-day cooperation. Typically the Assignment leader will be leading multiple assignments in parallel in a global environment which requires a structured approach and drive for results. It is also essential that all applicants have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to satisfy customer requests. Team building and people skills are other key skills for this position.
Most of the deliveries will be in the Order to Delivery area, but Business Intelligence deliveries will also be a part of the assignment portfolio.
Ability for a close cooperation with Volvo IT's Service Delivery Managers, Line Managers and Functional Managers is an expectation on a candidate.
This position requires:
• IT background, preferably in application development and service management
• Experience from development and management activities such as planning, cost budgeting and control from project or line positions
• Adequate knowledge in Project Management issues
Good knowledge in the Order to Delivery area; Application Integration and Business Intelligence is desirable.
In this role you will be reporting to the Line Manager, Application Management Mälardalen.
