Business unit Modems within ST-Ericsson is responsible for developing modem access technology for the ST-Ericsson mobile platforms. The Digital Modem IP organization specifies and implements complete modem subsystems with the latest access capabilities in modern technologies.
The digital ASIC organization is now looking for an experienced verification engineer. As a member of the verification team, you will work with state-of-the-art modems products. Our mission is to verify the modem subsystem, thus ensuring the quality of our products before tape-out. We participate in all levels of verification, but our main focus is system level verification. The work requires us to be involved in many stages of the process:
Participate in feasibility studies, to ensure that the architecture is possible to verify and to find the best verification method.
Participate in verification planning and specification activities.
The usual verification tasks: specify and create test environments and test cases, debug, run regressions, measure coverage and report progress.
Participate in and drive verification methodology work.
Typical tests on system level include integration tests, operational modes, and various types of system tests.
One type of system test is power management verification. Complex designs lead to complex power saving solutions, which in turn requires intelligent methods to verify. The verification effort combines software driven tests with assertions. We need to strengthening our team in this area.
Required competence:
M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3-5 years of experience with digital ASIC verification
Experience with low power verification
Experience with different verification methodologies: SW driven, constrained random, formal
Skills in OVM, System Verilog, and/or Specman/e
Skills in C-programming
Additional competence:
Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Positive attitude, service minded
Structured way of working
Detailoriented
Skilled in cooperating and communicating
Ability to work independently and in teams
