ASIC department is responsible for ASIC and FPGA design, verification, system engineering and contact towards external ASIC partners and IP providers. Large and differentiating IPs for our application are developed in-house. The more general parts of the SoC are developed in cooperation with external partners. We perform evaluation and are responsible for the selection of ASIC technologies, platform partners and IPs.
We are in the forefront of technology nodes and stretching performance and power requirements in our designs.
We have a long history of designing ASICs, the first ASIC was developed in the late 80s. We have developed a highly sophisticated ASIC development environment which is in many ways leading edge in the world. We file patents and publish papers and get invitations to present them at EDA and other conferences.
What will you do?
As an ASIC External Interface engineer you will work in a rather wide technical area. The team is responsible for ASIC system, Back-End design, selection of ASIC and IP partners. The work will include system engineering work and responsibilities such as evaluation, selection and configuration of ASIC system solution, IPs such as Security, CPUs, IO controlers, IOs, different interfaces etc.
The work also includes close cooperation with Electronic, ASIC and software engineers. There will be some traveling and close collaboration with partners.
We are a well established team and in most cases we are able to adopt to personal interests.
Who are you?
You are a highly motivated engineer who wants to make difference. Suitable education would be Electrical, Computer or Physics science or similar.
Skills seen as a merit:
* Good understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software interaction
* Understanding of ASIC architecture
* Electronics/PCB design experience
* Structured and well skilled in documenting
* Programming and scripting skills
* Modelling and understanding of complex systems
* ASIC test
* ASIC manufacturing
* SystemC/TLM
* RTL design, Verilog and/or VHDL
* Power reduction methodologies
