We are now looking for an Artificial Intelligence Researcher to build and transfer technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:
Contributing to Ericsson technology strategy
Developing novel AI concepts, solutions and algorithms
Introducing the solutions into product development
Presenting prototypes, concept demonstrations and publications.
What you will do
Seek a research problem by developing new and demonstrating groundbreaking algorithms and technology approaches of artificial intelligence
Perform, document and communicate research studies, measurements or computer simulations to other teams, Ericsson business units, and global customers
Disseminate your results at top-ranked research venues
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Represent Ericsson in an external capacity such as university collaborations, and customer meetings.
Supervise and coach other researchers.
Develop research strategies.
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators or test beds.
To be successful in the role you have
Education: M Sc or equivalent or PhD or Licentiate degree with a thesis in one of the areas below. Practical experience is not required.
Implementation / programming skills and experience with open source software stacks
Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job.
Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
Ability to formulate problems and solve them independently.
Strong interest and experience in one or more of the following areas
Knowledge graphs, knowledge extraction, and knowledge representation
Automated (AI) planning
Model-based AI systems, Modeling, and analysis of system behavior
Reinforcement learning
Explainable, safe, and robust AI systems
Neural-symbolic AI
Meta-learning
Graph Neural Networks
Causal reasoning
Multi-agent systems
Formal methods
Additional Requirements
Strong telecom domain expertise
Skills in supervising master thesis students and researchers.
Prior experience in a research organization/academia and with EU research projects is desired
