Nu Creatives is a recruitment agency specialising in creative, specialist and management jobs in communication/advertising, web/mobile, social media and games.

Our client is a game studio in Stockholm, developing innovative video slots for the free to play social and the online gambling market. With a tight, experienced team of around 20, they are located in the heart of Stockholm. On their behalf we are now looking for a skilled Art Director to join their team.

The Art Director will have a key position within an ambitious company that strives to produce games that excel in both game experience as well as graphical style. This is reflected in that, despite their relative short history, they've already been nominated for several awards within their industry.

Two of its founders has also been featured in a 'Hot 50' list of influential people within the gambling industry.

The Job

As an Art Director you will be the bridge between the product and the graphics. You will work with creating concepts, storyboards and mood boards as well as leading graphic artists and animators in their work. You will work in a small team, in a casual and fun atmosphere where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference.

Personality, Experience and Skills

Excellent Photoshop skills
Strong illustrating skills
Strong creativity and ability to innovate
Strong ability to visualize and realize concepts and ideas
Ability to create a variety of styles while maintaining cohesiveness within each of them.
A pragmatic, production-oriented mindset.
Ability to understand the product from a market/client perspective, and tie the art direction to that.
Previous experience as an Art Director or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong drive and own initiative
Leadership skills

Knowledge in AfterFX
Knowledge in Illustrator
Experience from the gaming industry
