ICOM produces IKEA.com, which is visited around 2.1 billion times a year. We're also behind the IKEA catalogue with a yearly circulation of around 230 million copies. On top of that, we churn out a ton of content for social media, not to mention motion media and 3D work so cutting edge that it makes the folks in California sit up and take notice. So what happens in Älmhult definitely doesn't stay in Älmhult. It reaches practically every corner of the globe.
<em>Right now we're looking for an Art Director Product Communication. </em>Someone who loves the challenge of combining quality and quantity, where we show our love for every single product while still having the capacity to cover the full range of products. Someone who understands that an explanatory picture is truly worth a thousand words. And that investing in a template is worth a thousand hours.
The Product Picture department at IKEA Communications create, produce and deliver 40 000 high quality images from 3D and photo. It is one of the most important and fastest growing areas within marketing and communication, because all images contribute to the IKEA customer understanding of IKEA products, and create a business impact for IKEA, both within offline and online sales.
As an Art Director you will take creative lead in a diverse team to create and develop on-line visual product communication in high volumes. Your key responsibilities:
Generate ideas and concepts for visual product communication, to be used and reused many times and in many places.
Partner with the assignor and other stakeholders, to define and research the assignment and secure that the concepts meets the communication needs and purposes in the best way possible.
Combine creativity and technology to optimize the creative process, enabling scalability through efficient mix production and production automation.
Together with Interior designer, Photographer, 3D artist and Retouch artist, transform concepts into visual communication in high volumes at the right quality.
Visualize ideas together with team members and present the idea and solutions to assignors.
Develop and maintain good relations and excellent collaboration with all team members and stakeholders, within and outside ICOM.
Apply the Customer Experience Map, and IKEA positioning and communication strategies and maintain best practices
