hela Sverige King is looking for an exceptionally skilled Art Director to join our Candy Crush Studio in Stockholm and work on our Candy Crush games. You will be part of a highly experienced and successful team, so we?re looking for a very talented artist and a great team player with strong leadership & coaching skills. You will be responsible for the artistic vision and identity of your product and ensure that it originates from the overall artistic Candy Crush look and feel. Part of this will be working with key stakeholders such as the Studio Art Director and Brand Marketing department to align on the overall visual style and branding.
You are a confident leader and role model who coaches Artists in best professional practices and behavior. With an innovative spirit, you will contribute beyond the assigned tasks and actively seek new opportunities to add value to your game and to King. Responsibilities include:
Define, communicate and champion the games? visual style ensuring it?s aligned with the target demographic and product goals
Ensure a consistent art style across all areas of the product at all times and set the expectation of the highest levels of quality for all areas of art
Make sure that all art is delivered to the game in accordance to the technical requirements of the project.
Promote a safe environment for open critique and feedback within the team
Embed coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing into the daily team activities
Support a highly agile and iterative game design and release process
Partner with Producers and/or Scrum Masters to define and prioritize tasks
Facilitate a positive and thorough onboarding experience when introducing new Artists into the team
Work closely with the Studio Art Director to support a healthy and productive art department
Skills to create thrills
You will be an established Artist and Art Director with world-class demonstrable experience in the fundamental artistic and art-leadership principles. Such as,
An advanced understanding of colour and compositional theory
Demonstrable experience in high quality visual decision-making and problem solving
A full understanding and ability to direct all areas of 3Dgame art, including modelling, sculpting, UV, texturing, skinning for deformation, rigging and animation
The ability to define, communicate and champion an Artistic vision
Strong leadership and communication skills
A proven track record of leading a team to deliver high quality art & animations that adhere to the style and goals of the project
An advanced level of experience with industry standard 2D & 3D software
Experience in developing art within an Agile environment
Experience and passion for coaching, developing and leading artists
Tasty bonus skills
Experience in UI and UX design
Experience of creating casual, mobile, browser based and/or Facebook games
An online portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skills is required!
