The Media Processing Division (MPD) in ARM has the mission to be at the
forefront of advanced multimedia IP products for the consumer, wireless and
automotive infotainment markets. The Mali range of GPUs (Graphics Processors)
delivers an advanced architecture for hardware acceleration of graphics,
specifically tuned for low energy consumption and high performance. Combined
with graphics software products, MPD provides a unified and scalable graphics
solution that will continue to address our customer needs into the future.

ARM is seeking talented and enthusiastic new hardware engineers to join our
engineering divisions. From day one, you will be given real responsibility and
will start working on live projects, where you will apply your existing
knowledge and skills, and begin your developmental journey to becoming a first
class ARM Engineer.
Hardware engineers within MPD have responsibilities that cover all areas of the
design and verification process: working closely with customers, architectural
design, implementation, writing specifications, design and simulation,
verification of functionality, generating deliverables and maintenance of
designs.
Education & Qualifications
You will need at least a M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
other relevant degree subject.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Experience of Verilog/SystemVerilog/ VHDL and
modeling at an architecture/design level
• Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively
• Able to take the lead and work independently
• Excellent English language skills, both written and
spoken, are essential
• Enthusiasm and capability are as important as
experience
• Pro-active and self motivated
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Hardware validation experience
Desirable Skills & Experience
• 2D / 3D graphics and video coding fundamentals
• Design techniques for low power
• Low level programming experience, such as C and
assembler
• Use of UNIX and scripting languages
