Croda is an international, FTSE 100 company, supplying adjuvants and lipids into the pharmaceutical sector. Due to continued growth in Croda Nordica, we are looking to hire an Area Sales Manager to lead growing accounts across the Nordic Region, within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector.
Croda offers an extensive and increasing list of high purity specialty ingredients to meet the needs for our customers, whether they are in drug substance manufacturing or formulation development. Alongside the product range, we have extensive expertise in working with our products in their various applications, and actively work with customers to solve any issues they are facing, whether it be stabilising a difficult drug, delivering the drug to its intended site of action, or prolonging drug product shelf life through the use of high purity ingredients.
Reporting into the General Director for Croda Nordica, you will form part of our European Sales team, focused on delivering solutions to key customers ranging from SMEs to major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
This is an opportunity to join a high growth market for Croda, with potential develop further within the organisation.
Location: Remote in Denmark or Sweden
Responsibilities
• Building, maintaining, and expanding the relationships with key accounts in the Nordics to ensure Croda remains the preferred supplier.
• Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
• Maintain close collaboration with internal and customer R&D departments to ensure commercial strategy remains aligned with innovation and market needs.
• Manage the existing sales pipeline, such as coordinating projects and development work with the customers.
• Develop new business opportunities in all Pharma focus areas and growth platforms.
• Promote new and existing products through exhibitions.
• Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies to achieve strategic goals.
• Ensure regular communication with and influencing of relevant sales network and external contacts to manage the business in the market area.
• Where required, provide coaching, support and advice to distributors.
Your profile
Maybe you have a background in chemistry AND experience in selling ingredients to pharmaceutical accounts? Or maybe you bring the following experiences and competencies, which we believe are key to success in the Area Sales Manager position at Croda:
• Relevant university degree with prior sales experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry.
• Excellent account management skills with the ability to develop market share and identify new business development opportunities.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong internal networks and relationships within the regional sales teams as well as with operations, marketing and research groups within Croda.
• Entrepreneurial and highly self-motivated with a passion for delivering customer driven solutions sales and identifying improvements in our commercial strategy.
• Fluency in English and preferably also in a Scandinavia language.
