We are currently looking for a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager to drive the sales of laboratory testing services to the Nordic market (Norway/Sweden/Finland) and potentially in the Baltic countries.

Via knowledge, communication and speed we offer a service that help our customers to achieve market access, fast market entry, product differentiation and risk reduction. Therefore we are looking for a sales professional with a proven track record of value-based sales of knowledge intensive services in a B2B context. The person we are looking for also has a strong ability to engage in a partnership with customers and is not afraid to utilize his/her position and relationship to challenge the customer on its own business. This requires a solid commercial understanding and of course a willingness to build relationships, whilst not being afraid to create the right degree of positive tension to move things forward. We are looking for someone naturally takes ownership and responsibility of the sales in the region by analyzing, planning and executing his/her activities in a balanced form.

Your customers will mainly be within construction product manufacturing and production of food packaging products.

Responsibilities

In the role as Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for expanding the customer portfolio and growing existing business lines within your geographical region.

In your daily work you will be expected to contact and visit existing and new customers to facilitate a local market presence in the region. You will be responsible for setting the regional sales objectives in a structured sales planning process along with our company management. It will be your job to own the market in your region, meaning we expect close market proximity and thereby a good ability to collect and use feedback from your market to define the right sales actions.

You will be part of a team of eight high-performing Area Sales Managers who work in their respective local home offices around Europe. Even though the sales team do not come together on a daily basis there is a very strong team spirit. We try and get together to share experiences and find common ground as often as possible. The team is characterized by little internal competition and a strong urgency to support each other.

The position will be reporting to the Head of Sales, who is based in Denmark, and your base will be at your local home office.

Qualifications

We expect you to have worked at least 3 years in sales, and preferably you have experience with knowledge-based sales or sales of related products, such as food packaging, paints or building materials. Ideally you have at least a basic understanding of product or material composition, but most important is that you have a drive to find and investigate new market opportunities, you are not afraid to try, fail, learn and keep pushing until you get things done.

We are working in an ever-changing business environment, so your ability to adapt to market changes and to capture new and sudden opportunities is a highly valuable quality for a person in this position.

You either have a commercial educational background, or a technical/engineering background with a proven record of creating results via thorough planning and execution of sales actions.
