We are looking for an Area Sales Manager located at Motors and Generators unit in Västerås. As a part of the global sales team, you will be responsible for promoting ABBs offering among end-users. With end-user preference we will improve our hit rate and become more successful. You will lead and co-ordinate our work in being the preferred supplier.
Your responsibilities
Promote ABBs products and our commitment to sustainability
Bringing ABB to the AVL (Approved Vendor List) with all major end-users globally
Develop technical frame agreements where our designs are fully approved
Closely follow the "Global project list" ensuring we are being engaged at an early stage
Coordination ABBs efforts utilizing local sales units, segment managers and account management
Provide product training internally as well as externally
Your background
Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience, preferably with rotating machines
Good technical understanding and a desire to learn more
Master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with a major in electrical or mechanical area
Many years of documented experience in technical and commercial negotiations
You need to be very structured and organized in the way you work
The nature of the role requires excellent skills in collaboration
Willingness to travel
Finally, you will need to be goal oriented, focused and show a very strong sales drive

The Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators. From general purpose to highly customized designs, synchronous motors and high voltage induction motors provide high efficiency, reliability and availability across all major industries and applications, including some in the toughest and most demanding environments. The division also has a long track record of designing and building generators for wide range of industries, including power generation, marine, oil and gas, mining, and data centers.
