Position Description:

As Area Responsible Technical Writer - Chassis, you will at site Gothenburg be responsible for coordinating, create and maintain service information in function group 5, 6 and 7 ("Brakes", "Wheel Suspension and Steering" and "Frame, Springs, Damping and Wheels").

Your main focus will be to analyse the scoop in new incoming projects and plan needed publications. You will mainly author Component, System and Function descriptions for publication in Impact, which is the workshop information system. At high work load you will also support and coordinate additional resources and approve their work within your field.

We work in a highly global and project driven environment. Both planning and the authoring itself require a great part of networking with other parts of the organisation, e.g. the design department, in order to get the right input and to build up knowledge.

We are looking for you who like to explain complex technical matters to others by the means of text and illustration. You have a strong drive and enjoying communicating with new people. You have experience from communication through the written word and have a natural feel for style and tone of communication. You are eager to search for information independently and constantly strive for learning more.

There is an intension to extend the position into process related tasks.

Main activities and responsibilities:

• Responsible for delivering technical publications

• Securing good structure and quality of publications

• Cost estimation and planning of publication production

• Detail plan work and coordinate additional resources when needed

• Maintain existing information (case handling)

• Participate in and contribute to global projects.

• Report issues and progress in running projects

• Gather documentation and data

• Author publications

• Handle proofreading

Qualifications:

• Pedagogical skills

• Strong language skills (written and spoken) in both Swedish and English (authoring language is Swedish)

• Product knowledge, specifically within the chassis area

• Minimum 3 years technical education on university level or equivalent education

• Good at structuring large amount of information

• Skilled in product structure, KOLA

Meritorious:

• Formal education in technical communication

• Experience of structured authoring, XML

• Experience from working with CAD data

• Experience from process related work
