www.xyleminc.com.Xylem is expanding its organization in Eastern Europe and Eurasia with an Area Manager Treatment who will work for selected countries in the Eastern Europe region and Israel. The role reports to the Eastern Europe & Eurasia region, which belongs to the EMEA Emerging Markets organization. The product portfolio includes products of the Flygt, Sanitaire, Wedeco and Leopold brands to serve the core applications of pumping, mixing, aeration, disinfection / oxidation and filtration / clarification / separation. Core market is the "municipal" market but various defined industrial applications are also covered by the role.
Job description
Your role is to be responsible for the development of our business in the dedicated markets which includes accountability for Order Intake, Sales and Gross Margins and be expert in products & applications. As an Area Manager for Treatment you will be developing, marketing and selling products, applications and solutions for the water and wastewater treatment market. You will develop an annual strategic plan to ensure achievement of key performance ratio, aligned with both the Sales Company and the Treatment business unit global strategies.
The Area Manager is responsible for dedicated indirect and direct sales channels. Together with the Centers of Excellence, you will be involved in sizing, quoting and offering large or specific projects directly for dedicated distributors, contractors or key customers. In this role you produce regular report on Treatment sales initiatives and performance to budget. You are also expected to produce ad hoc reports on competitor monitoring, market trends and marketing opportunities.
Part of the role is in marketing where you will coordinate the launch of new products with all related training, documentation and marketing activities. You will liaise with Marketing contact on trade exhibitions and seminars outlining the message to deliver the best value content for our company.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in working in an international role towards different cultures. You have a demonstrated skill in networking with influencers outside of the company and also inside the company in a matrix environment made of Sales Companies and Business Units.You have at least five years experience from relevant field, i.e. consultant firm/specifier, technology supplier, treatment plant builder, equipment supplier. Knowledge of related products and process applications for the treatment of water and waste water are highly desirable.
Your educational background is a Business degree and/or a Master of Science in Chemistry or Water & Environment, Biology or similar.
To be successful in this role you need to take own initiatives, build confidence among clients, have an ability to work alone and are proactive and driven.
Fluent English both oral and written are essential to perform the work in a desirable way. Knowledge in other languages such as Swedish, Russian or Hebrew is a plus. As an Area Manager you preferably plan and coordinate your work from the Stockholm office and then travel out to the customers in your region, estimated travel is 70-80 days/year. You could also be working out of one of Xylems sales offices in the region.
