Sartorius Lab Products and Services will strengthen their Swedish sales team with an Area Manager who will be responsible for customers and sales in the Stockholm/Uppsala area and the north part of Sweden.
As Area Manager, you will maintain and build relationships with existing customers as well as expanding the customer base by making new contacts. You will get the opportunity to work through the whole business line, from networking and sales to demonstrations of equipment and products and negotiations. The customers are found in laboratory and research-intensive environments within healthcare, universities and industry, particularly within the pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology field.
It is important that you are comfortable with working from a home office that is preferentially located in the Stockholm/Uppsala area. As an Area Manager you report to the Sales Manager Scandinavia and collaborate regionally and internationally with colleagues within technical service support, marketing and customer service. The role involves extensive traveling within the business area and occasional traveling outside Sweden. Sartorius offers you a fixed salary plus commission based on sales as well as a company car.

• You have a scientific background and an academic degree in a relevant subject
• You have a minimum of 3 years experience of direct sales to laboratories within the biotech, pharma, food or chemical industry. It is essential that you have previous experience in finding new business opportunities
• You have excellent business and financial understanding as well as documented sales results
• Previous experience in sales of laboratory equipment and / or consumables is required and your own experience of laboratory work will be an advantage.
• As a person you are service minded, outgoing and an excellent communicator. You find it easy to contact people and build active networks and have the ability to listen to what the customer actually says. You work independently and take your own initiatives.
• Excellent Swedish and English is required, both spoken and in writing
• Intermediate to advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office)
• You have a valid drivers license
Personal skills will be emphasized during the selection process.
