The role as Area Manager
We offer an area manager role, responsible for the Operations and 3rd party services within Business Applications department. This role is key in order to serve our own Business, such as installers and salesmen, with great IT services, and maintain our common IT-platform. We will give you challenges working with internally developed services and 3rd party products. You will be part of a great and highly engaged management team located in Malmö.
You will lead a team of five engineers, who's responsibility is to operate some of our core applications. The team is securing lifecycle, growth and scaling for 50 services on around 100 servers, divided by two sites and SYS & PROD. The team is also responsible for our 3rd party solutions, including governance, new requests, and stakeholder management.
What you'll be up to
The manager's responsibility is to create conditions for a high performing team and to be involved in everyday work. Verisure is currently making an agile transformation including DevOps. Your role is to guide the team in this journey.
More specifically:
• Lead the team directly through coaching of team members
• Hiring and talent development
• Together with the team establishing governance for 3rd party services
• Communication with stakeholders, both external vendors and internal Business and development teams
• Secure infrastructure, processes, and tools for an efficient and high-quality work environment
• Work pro-actively to identify risks and risk mitigations
• Budget planning and follow-up within own area of responsibility

About you
We believe you have experience in leading a team, either as a Team lead or Manager. You have an interest in people and have experience working in an agile environment.
Furthermore, you have some high-level knowledge about system automation, microservices and database administration. You're good at structure and setting governance and we believe you enjoy collaborating with both our internal business and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a person who easily identifies their own development needs and makes use of opportunities. You need to be comfortable in supporting and guiding team members.
We are an international company with offices and colleagues in multiple countries, therefore English is mandatory.
