hela Sverige Sällma is now looking for an Area Head of Logistics to one of our clients who works with Supply Chain Management Solutions.
The Area Head of Logistics is responsible for the execution and profitable delivery of the Road & Rail and Warehousing & Distribution Products within the area.
The primary purposes of this role are:
• To design, develop and grow the Logistics Product in a profitable and sustainable manner in the Area.
• To execute the global Product and network/warehouse management and procurement strategy at Area level.
• To execute the global Logistics standards and guidelines at Area level.
• Building logistics capabilities in the Area.
Skills and Competencies
• Sound knowledge of the logistics industry.
• Good knowledge of markets, procurement and capacity management for air freight, including service contracts
• Good knowledge of business administration and supplier management, local laws and regulations and also financial reporting.
You have good ability to:
• Plan strategically and translate strategy into operational roadmaps, deploying resources efficiently while pushing for results.
• Lead people, including hiring and retaining talent, directing reports, defining KPI's and monitoring performancs.
• Work in teams
• Organize, prioritizing, planning, assigning and controlling objectives.
• Influence and negotiate
• Communicate and network using advanced inter-personal skills.
• Analyze and conceptualize.
You have at minimum 10 years of experience in the logistics and minimum 5 years of experience in people management and leadership. You have a graduate degree at Bachelor level.
You are fluent in English written and spoken and other languages are preferred.
