Initially, this is a consulting assignment via Unik Resurs with the ambition of long-term employment at Veoneer after the assignment
Tasks and responsibilities
As an EMC Senior Test Engineer, you will work in our team for Design & Product verification. The team plans and executes environmental tests of our vision systems during different project phases to verify design and the final product. You will perform EMC chamber measurements and tests for our products according to the automotive standards and deliver reports. Except this, you will be involved in the work requests, discuss test specifications and finally deliver results.
The role will give you opportunities to have a major impact and influence on the test area. You're an important contributor to the laboratory strategy and development. All this is included in a technical leader role for your area within the department. The role will widen the responsibility and the possibility to have influence, for example equipment strategies and follow up on standards used by the laboratory.
Specification of tasks in your role:
• Perform tests and measurements of our products in our lab
• Conduct the strategic work within the EMC department to be able to meet the future needs of technology, standards, routines and processes
• Evaluate our competence based on the tests performed to be able to improve and develop the processes
• Ensure that we work in line with our quality requirements
Your profile
Specification of requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in for example electronics or equivalent work experience
• You have documented work experience from EMC measurements for at least 5 years, or EMC-related design at an advanced level
• You have been involved in planning and setting strategy goals for the EMC area
• Knowledge of standards for EMC testing
• Fluent in English, both verbally and writing
• Driving license Class B is meriting
• Experience of EMC testing in automotive is meriting
• Knowledge of ISO17025 is meriting
You are well organized in your way of working and also like routines and structures around you. Quality is a key word for you. The mix of practical work and looking into strategy and planning is something you like. You appreciate contributing with your own knowledge to develop the work processes within the department and to cooperate with others to achieve goals. You are a service-minded and customer-focused person who has the ability to build relationships within the organization. Leading capabilities are seen as very positive.
