ABOUT YOU
You have passion for new technologies, with the ability to spot potential opportunities and for organizational technological architecture design. We believe you have minimum of 10 years of progressive and diverse experience as technical authority and proven advanced training in information technology, computer science or equivalent. You are able to demonstrate experience in in the generation & specification of architectural requirements and in working in an agile or DevOps environment. Your leadership skills are strong and you have experience in design and delivery of service-oriented architectures development processes. Your understanding and experience of shaping technical architecture in retail goes deep. You also have experience in delivery of open source and/-or cloud based solutions.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• extensive experience in defining and delivering enterprise level architecture in a highly complex environment
• experience of establishing architecture standards across applications, security, data and infrastructure both on-prem and cloud
• depth of experience in using and applying different architectural frameworks
• experience of transforming architecture into a product and engineering led organisation
• experience with agility practices
• strong knowledge of cloud and information technology trends and emerging technologies
• good familiarity with the disciplines of enterprise digital development and technical architecture
• deep understanding of the cost drivers in systems delivery and operations and the commercial consequences of the technical decisions made
• excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior leaders
• knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
We believe that you have ability to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically. Ability to lead, apply and describe architecture on a complex enterprise level as well as deep understanding of technology specifically a different technology stacks within a retail sector is in your scope. You demonstrate strong IKEA leadership skills with sound judgements and effective decisions, humility, openness, inclusive and team embracing diversity. You are able to lead in times of change and uncertainty with the business goals and co-workers in focus.
ABOUT THE JOB
Main objective is to define, maintain and deliver the Technology roadmap and to achieve the Technology strategy. To be accountable for defining the strategic direction of the technology landscape and leading the development and delivery of its architecture, including information security as well as setting the technical standards. Also to drive the execution of the strategic agenda for Digital Technology together with rest of the management team, and to identify cross-functional dependencies and remove blockers across architecture, engineering, and product management.
You will:
• lead and set the strategic direction and vision of the technology landscape and its contribution to the Technology strategy
• be accountable for setting the technology landscape architecture, including information security, needed to enable speed and flexibility for empowered teams
• lead, create and track the technology landscape roadmap in collaboration with input from stakeholders to achieve the Technology strategy and minimize the technical debt
• be accountable for setting and driving implementation of technical standards for the technology landscape
• be accountable to drive consistency in practice, process, toolset and architecture across the Technology Architecture function, promoting best practices and continually benchmarking against industry standards
• be responsible to set and drive the strategic agenda of Digital Technology as being member of the Digital Technology management team
• lead, coach and develop a team of technical architects and information security architects by ensuring assigned teams understand the overall direction, vision, delivery process and responsibilities
• secure the right capability and competence within the Technology Architecture function, in close collaboration with People & Culture
• work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering solutions towards the correct architecture
