The positions
ECDC is a client of Perido since many years and we've helped them to find talents within administration, finance, communication, procurement, legal, HR and IT. The need for consultants with different skills is constantly ongoing and we add positions continuously, with varied working hours and duration. The office is nicely located in Solna, just outside of Stockholm City. ECDC staff is mostly working from home at the moment, although this might change in the course of the year depending on the epidemiological situation.
ECDC as a workplace
ECDC is an EU agency aimed at strengthening Europe's defences against infectious diseases. Their work is incredibly important and meaningful. It is also highly topical, especially in the current situation that we are in now with the Covid- pandemic. The core functions cover a wide spectrum of activities: surveillance, epidemic intelligence, response, scientific advice, microbiology, preparedness, public health training, international relations, health communication, and the scientific journal Eurosurveillance. The ECDC also monitors and provides information on COVID-19 and supports the response by Member States to the pandemic.
The work of the Centre is characterised by a high level of professionalism and efficiency. What kind of work tasks you will have depends, of course, on what qualifications you got and what role you are assigned. Mostly it is a lot of administrative work and handling confidential information, as well as to contribute with your experience and expertise in different fields.
