Application Development Engineer - Packaging Paper/Sack Solutions
As an application development engineer within Sack Solutions you will be a part of the application development team. Your work will consist of managing and working actively in application development projects all the way from idea to market introduction of a new packaging solution. Our vision is to challenge conventional packaging for a sustainable future and hence innovation capability is a key ability in this role.
Application Development projects are often defined together with customers and end-users of BillerudKorsnäs in an international setting. Packaging testing is crucial and the backbone in application development projects with the aim to improve the customer's packaging performance. The sack laboratory is therefore an important resource for our development efforts and you will use the services of the lab to build evidence and arguments for the innovative sack solutions we strive to develop.
You will also contribute to the group activities by networking with other stakeholders in the packaging value chain and participate in customer and training activities both in the sack laboratory as well as at customers.
We need a person with an engineering degree from the university. If you have experience from paper manufacturing and/or packaging/product development; this is of course a merit. Since part of the work involves representing the sack lab activities at customer visits and training events, the ability to give presentations in both Swedish and English is a must. Other language skills are a merit since we act in an international setting.
You are open minded, creative and positive to team work with analytical and systematical capability. Travelling to customers in the frame of development projects and for meetings is often required within the job. Even though part of a team, the ability to work independently is required.
The position is placed at the BillerudKorsnäs Karlsborg mill, close to Kalix.
