We are looking for young talented people and experienced professionals who are looking for a career in Global Technical Support (GTS) as an Applications SW Support Engineer. We offer an opportunity to work with the latest technology within Enterprise telecom solutions. You will be responsible for advanced technical 3rd line product support on Aastra Telecom Product Portfolio, supporting partners and customers around the world remotely, based in Stockholm, but also travelling internationally providing support, installation, integration and sales support.
The Stockholm site and operation is part of a global set-up where indirect Partners around the globe act as the primary direct interface with end customers - Hence, the GTS organization is the highest level of technical product support inter working with the R&D Units within Aastra Telecom.

The support engineer is responsible for advanced handling of customer service requests with full responsibility for lead-time and quality. This includes external communication with partners/customers as well as internal communication with the design department and product management, amongst others, in an international environment. As a service engineer, you must be prepared to give technical consultancy on customer's premises, which means a certain amount of traveling may be required. Other responsibilities include sharing knowledge internally and externally by keeping our web-based Knowledgebase updated with technical information/advice for use by our service partners.
The service engineer takes ownership of the fault and provides timely customer updates using a fault management system until fault resolution is achieved. The engineer also works with analyze, reproduce and isolate reported faults in lab environment. Aside from this he/she is also responsible for resolving complex configuration issues and provide available corrections to known faults/issues as well as provide technical expertise/assistance in pre-sales and post-sales activities to potential or existing Aastra customers - i.e. Professional Services.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Technical degree or equivalent.
OR Documented several years experience from advanced service and/or maintenance within telecom and/or IT.
We are interested in hearing from people with some of the following competences:
• Knowledge of one or more of the following products is desirable: Microsoft Operating Systems, MS SQL Server, MS IIS.
• Knowledge in IP networks, VoIP, H.323 and SIP

You work well independently but you are also a team player who is able to, and enjoys sharing your knowledge and skills with the members of your team and colleagues across other business disciplines. Regardless of experience, you are a true professional who shows a great consultative approach to customers and colleagues and always strives to "Do it right the first time".
