The Methods department supports product development of cutting tools in a global organization. As an applications engineer you will be involved in improving the efficiency of processes from design and development to production. Key performance areas
Today the focus in the process for creating press tool basis is system maintenance and support for users. In the future, new press technology will demand new press tool basis and, consequently, further development of systems. This means that you will need to use your knowledge of our CAD system (NX) and your system development skills to help deliver applications that are structured and documented, and that comply with the customers' specifications. You will also contribute to finding common work methods and implementing them in product development operations. Your contacts will be in both product development and production.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a BSc or MSc in Engineering, with a focus on mechanical engineering, or who has acquired the equivalent knowledge in another manner. Practical experience of programming (for example in C, C++ or Visual Basic) is required for this position, as is experience with CAD and previous work with training in some form. Good English skills, both verbal and writing, are also required.
As a person you are a service-minded and quality-conscious problem solver with an analytical working style. You have strong cooperation skills and the ability to build and maintain networks. As the work involves considerable contact with diverse parties, you must be communicative and able to share your knowledge with others effectively.
