The assignment includes documentation; ensuring operating status of the relevant systems, troubleshooting incoming application issues, communication with system responsible and development team and continuous work with improvements of operations and support processes.
Duties:
• Application Operation and Monitoring
• Coordinate and escalate issues relating to the area towards the Technical Service Responsible.
• Coordinate maintenance work within the area of responsibility
• Work with backup / restore procedures and tests
• Support the setup of technical environments
• Register and monitor tickets via Change management to infrastructure department
• Maintain dialogue with manager regarding infrastructure, operations and support issues
• Support in capacity planning
• Support in setup of alarms and monitoring
• Support the transfer of application operation to Operations
• Troubleshoot and manage several different applications
Preferred competence
• Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008/2012
• ITIL knowledge, specifically Incident and Change management
• Preferably experience in MSMQ and T-SQL, IIS 6/7, Server Performance and Alarm Monitoring, VMware, Script Management (PowerShell) and HP Service Manager
• Previous background in working with IT Support or in a Servicedesk
• Very good troubleshooting skills on Windows Server and Windows Applications
• Knowledge of network and infrastructure
• Experience in writing Knowledge Base articles
• You speak and write English fluently
