We are looking for an Application Support Engineer at Hitachi ABB Power Grids, High Voltage Products business in Ludvika, Sweden. You will be part of Technical Lead Center for Live Tank Breakers (LTB). The team is formed by highly skilled R&D experts who closely collaborate every day to enhance and secure the present and future of the Live Tank Breaker products.
Your responsibilities
Act as technical expert regarding our products and their applications
Work will include type testing of LTB
Participate in R&D projects
Management of smaller projects
Supervise and actively revise standards
Conduct training and seminars, both internally and externally
Supervise patents
Your background
We require a university education in Engineering with specialization in Electric Power Systems or equivalent, from reputed university and relevant work experience
High technical skills. Experience from testing, or other high technical knowledge of high voltage products is also qualifying
Solid knowledge of our products and a global network
You have market and competitor awareness on LTB products
To succeed and thrive, you need an attention to details while still being able to grasp the bigger picture
You are accurate, customer focused and able to think strategically
You have good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to analyze and propose the right solutions
Proficiency in English is a must, whereas additional languages are considered a plus
