AstraZeneca Sweden Operations in Södertälje is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing sites in the world. PIS (Production Information System) is a critical application used by +1000 users in Sweden Operations. It holds information about the manufacturing process in Södertälje. +200 shop floor equipment such Process Controls, Media & Facility monitoring systems are connected to PIS. Every day approx. 6.4 million new data points are stored in PIS.
The information in PIS are used to:
Generate Batch Reports for batch release
Optimise the manufacturing process
Recipe Management
Make data available for other applications
The role
As Application Support Analyst, you will provide application support to business during office hours. You will be a key member in a global team based in both Södertälje and Chennai. Strong focus on collaboration with customers is required. The right individual will have good possibilities for further development within AstraZeneca IT function.
The role reports to EMEA Regional Service Lead and is located in Södertälje.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Ensure optimum performance and stability for PIS, including providing workarounds and identifying areas for improvement or solutions to permanently address the issue
Perform and document data corrective investigations on behalf/together with business according to Standard Operating Procedures, SOP?s.
Accomplish data corrective actions on behalf of business according SOP?s.
Provide 3rd line support (technical queries, bug fixes and small enhancements relating to application and platform), complying with
AstraZeneca standards, change control procedures
Take ownership of issues through from delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate
Support development activities by helping in code build and deployment, tool configuration management and administration, application environment set up, change and release management
Liaise with multiple stake holders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements
Train, guide and mentor new hires in the team
Ensure that, in all aspects of the role, compliance is maintained with the guidelines that regulate the AstraZeneca business, e.g. GMP.
