Do you have a life science degree an experience in laboratory automation? Do you want to grow in the application specialist profession in a dynamic, educational and technically challenging position? The worlds best liquid handling and automation company is looking for a new application specialist to further strengthen the growing Nordic team!
The Role
Hamilton Nordic provides automated liquid handling workstations and laboratory automation technology for the scientific community. As an application specialist at Hamilton you are the technical liaison between Hamiltons customers and Hamiltons engineering team.
In this role, you work alongside the sales-team and provide application support during pre-sales activities. In this process, you provide customized solutions to each clients' specific needs. In the after-sales process you will act as project manager bringing the project from design to success. During this process you will be responsible for method development, testing, implementation and training of customers in using the final solution.
The typical customer is either in academic research or hospital laboratories. The Nordic headquarters is situated in Kista but you will mainly be working from home or at the customers. The position will require extensive travelling in the Nordic countries. You will have freedom with responsibility and an interesting and stimulating position at the world leader in automated liquid handling workstations and laboratory automation technologies.
Who you are?
• You have a BSc, MSc or PhD in a life science related discipline.
• Experience of laboratory work (f ex DNA/RNA extraction, NGS sequencing, protein purification/analysis) is desired.
• Laboratory automation experience is strongly meritorious, as well as understanding of sample workflows in biomedical / research laboratories.
• You either have experience, or a genuine interest in programming languages such as C/C++/Python/R or similar.
• You speak English fluently. Swedish is meritorious.
• You have great communication and social skills. You are an effective listener, and seeks first to understand before providing a solution.
• You have project management skills and plan your work efficiently. You enjoy a coordinating function, have a strong sense of responsibility and take on work tasks in a proactive way.
• You have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and are customer focused.
• You have a driving license and the ability to travel.
