To ensure we deliver great technical solutions and sales support to end-customers and distributors, we're now looking for an Application Specialist to join us in the areas Turning/Reading, Milling, Round Tools and CAM/Digital. Your mission
In this position, you act in close collaboration with our account managers. You deliver expertise related to technical products and applicationsfor our customers. You're supporting the account managers on-site and remotely - to maximize and extend our business within specific scope of competencies. You're responsible for coordinating the total delivery of technical solutions and sales support, and you prepare integrated solutions for our customers by setting up interaction between technical and commercial departments, as well as relevant distributor services. You support account managers in technical presentations and customer interactions to identify and secure suitable business opportunities for Sandvik Coromant. You also recommend products and services that fit well with clients' business needs - troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical issues that arise during or after implementation. You're always ready to respond to more complex technical matters, developing and delivering training to educate internal and external stakeholders and customers on the features of a purchase. In addition, you build test applications that are used for testing modules, including customer-specific components. This role includes travel and you're able to be based in Södertälje, Eskilstuna or Köping.
Profile
You have solid experience working with technical services or in a sales supervisory position. You're a natural project manager with engineering cutting tools skills, and you have a university degree or equivalent work experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or a related field. Having a proven track record of delivering excellent results in a sales context, you also have experience managing internal and external customer relations. Naturally, you know relevant applications and software, CAD and CAM/CNC, and you're used to working remotely and skilled in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. As we're a truly global player acting on the local market, you need to communicate well in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Your personality is fundamental to us! We're fascinated by your can-do attitude, problem solving skills and structured mindset. You take full ownership of your projects, making sure to get things done. With your genuine technical interest and the willingness to learn new things, you constantly take initiatives and have a clear vision of how to motivate improvements and changes. Your great communication and presentation skills come in handy when networking and interacting with people and you have a natural talent for building strong relationships leading to great collaborations.
