Area
Delivery Management Sweden, Service Operation
Service Operation includes application operational services to keep existing applications up and running. It also contains support given to the Application Development and Application Maintenance Teams, starting with advice on choice of infrastructure technology in the early stages of development, all the way through to the deployment of the application in the production environment. Service Operation (SO) is the functional interface between the Application Delivery (AD) and Infrastructure Management & Operations (IMO) units.
We need an additional resource in Service Operation to handle application operation for CWP and IWP. CWP is a common SharePoint based platform on which all Volvo Groups Internet, Intranet and Dealer portals are built on. IWP is a collaboration tool used within the Volvo Group built on SharePoint.
Key responsibilities
Support the application layer for CWP and IWP SharePoint based applications including WSS 3.0, Office SharePoint Server 2007 and SharePoint 2010.
Handle incident and problem solution on a day to day basis for the applications, often in close cooperation with other teams both within and outside Volvo IT.
Handle application configuration and deployment. This includes deployment of WSP's, IIS configuration, configuration and update of third-party applications that are within the scope of the main application. Perform performance analysis of the environments.
Participate in infrastructure enhancements such as production environment upgrades and SharePoint installations.
Participate in the capacity planning for the environments.
Who are you?
We are currently looking for a person who is a strong team player, has good understanding and focus when it comes to our clients business needs and has very good experience in the IT field.
Strong customer focus
Experienced in the Windows server area and preferably from large scale environments.
Very good knowledge in the WSS and MOSS application areas.
Experience from SharePoint applications and custom developed code.
SQL, IIS and PowerShell experience is considered an additional qualification.
Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural organization.
Very good communication and documentation skills.
Well organized, with an eye for detail.
Very good ability to collaborate in teams as well as being an independent driving force.
Good written and spoken English and Swedish are a requirement.
