We are looking for driven and motivated Application and Analysis Engineer to join our team at our Drilling department and work in the Research and Development (R&D) within Atlas Copco Underground Rock Excavation (URE).

Job description
As application and analysis engineer in our R&D function, you will have an important role within the application & analysis group where your role is to design, analyse and develop our underground drilling products. We have sophisticated machines with advanced mechanisms, drivetrains and control systems. The work covers concept development and realization, dimensioning, strength- and fatigue-calculations with primarily ANSYS and Pro/Engineer Mechanica, 3D CAD design and modelling and contact with customers and suppliers.
Skills & Knowledge
You need to have an education in mechanical engineering (or equivalent knowledge) and preferably some years of experience in mechanical analysis. Experience within FEA and mechanical design (Preferably ANSYS and Pro/Engineer Mechanica) are meritorious. We prefer that you have knowledge from products for mobile applications in demanding environments and experience of working with 3D CAD system (Preferably Pro/Engineer). You need to be proficient in MS-based applications such as Word and Excel and use English both written and spoken and preferable also Swedish.

In this role you need to work towards better customer satisfaction and demonstrate efficiency, be able to share expertise and technology as well as share analyze and use sound judgement. To enjoy the work, it is important to have a genuine interest in technology, be creative and have a desire to learn more about the products you are working with. Our work is conducted in large own freedom and responsibility. These tasks requires many contacts both internally and externally, good interpersonal and communications skills are required to do the job.
