The Flavors Applications Manager will support the Scandinavian sales team & marketing through product presentations, and support manufacturing and flavor development sites by optimizing formulations & ingredients and specifying taste profiles that perfectly fits with market needs. The candidate must be able to multi-task and prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced, challenging yet rewarding environment. You will be an enthusiastic, credible and self-motivated individual with high energy levels and a 'can do' attitude. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . Make pro-active presentations to customers. Present flavours and flavoured food products to customers; Travels to support customer projects, demos or continuing education. . Conducts hands on evaluation and manages multiple projects and tasks with changing priorities. Recommends new solutions for customer requests where appropriate through familiarity with Sensient product catalogue and databases. . Collaborates with Creative, Sensory, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, other innovation groups and other department teams to ensure product development meets benchmarks. . Enters and maintains accurate and thorough records of work, including project status, formulations, process instructions, flavor evaluations, flavor and application libraries and supporting documents such as customer technical data sheets, shipment documentation and other as required. . Communicates effectively to keep account manager, customer and Technical Services Manager apprised of project status. Ensures that projects are completed and submissions made in a timely manner and manages expectations with account manager and customer. . Expands technical and professional knowledge through collaboration with internal teams, mentors, customer interaction and professional development seminars, trade shows or technical workshops'. . Aware of industrial constraints, able to work with standard food processing equipment
3 years of experience in food product development or manufacturing in Bakery, Confectionery or Dairy industry or 2- 3 years successful work as technologist in flavor application. Must have experience with the use of flavorings, Computer literate, Team-focused work style, Good people and communication skills, with written and oral English a must, along with ability to work within short time-frames, stay focused under pressure and Creative and pro-active individual.
