We are seeking an Application Engineer to Xylem's turbine business. You will be situated in Sundbyberg and be part of an international organisation working globally. The turbine business is in an exciting face with a newly launched product and a high demand from the customers.
The Application Engineer will play an important role and work with all the faces in the project. You will have contacts internally, externally and with the customer.
Functions included in the role:
• Supports the sales companies' sales efforts with product selection and system design
• Participate in troubleshooting cases
• Participate in the development of software tools for product selection and system design
• Participates in and supports business development projects
• Train staff in application knowledge
• Mentor / tutor for Support Engineers
• Develop training materials in the application domain
• Owns and develops engineering tools
• Operates or assists in application development projects
• Immerse themselves in subjects within the application area
You will be part of the department Application Development and Support, consisting of a group of team oriented senior people with different international backgrounds. The position demands travels approximately 3-4 days a month, worldwide.

We are looking for a candidate with turbine experience, ideally combined with CFD experience. We see that you have approximately 10 years of experience and experience of eliciting system requirements using standard techniques such as surveys/questionnaires, interviews, user groups and other techniques. Prior experience and technical knowledge of SW/System development and working with testers and developers to implement requirements are other qualifications for the position.
If you have worked with all faces of a turbine project it is a strong merit. Experience documenting system requirements in the form of User Stories, Use Cases, UML diagrams and other graphical representations (e.g., work flows) and experience managing requirements and conducting requirements analysis in an Agile environment are other desirable experiences.
A university degree within a relevant field is a must. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral are essential. Swedish, Portuguese and/or Arabic are a merit.
In this recruitment the personal qualities will be of great importance. Project management skills are necessary since the position demands a lot of coordination, both internally and externally. You have strong analytical skills and you are a true team member who sees the value of working close with and helping your colleges.
