Job description
Xylem is expanding its organization in Eastern Europe and Eurasia, EEE, with an Application Engineer Treatment who will work in the Eastern Europe region and Israel. The product portfolio includes products of the Flygt, Sanitaire, Wedeco and Leopold brands to serve the core applications of pumping, mixing, aeration, disinfection / oxidation and filtration / clarification / separation. Core market is the "municipal" market but various defined industrial applications are also covered by the role.
This position belongs to our EEE sales organization for the water and wastewater treatment market, and the position includes two major responsibilities:
• Participation for the development of Order Intake, Sales and Gross Margins
• Expert in products & applications.
As an Application Engineer for Treatment you will be responsible to support Sales, Products & Applications. You will evaluate and analyze inquiries / specifications from customers, partners and distributors, select appropriate equipment and offer technical support and information for water and wastewater treatment applications. You will be working together with the fields sales engineers to understand customer needs / applications and to provide the best efficient and competitive product solutions (standard or customized). Other tasks will be to assist with technical seminars or trainings for benefit of sales personnel and customers and coordinate technical support for large projects with other offices or departments.
You will communicate with Inside Sales to ensure proper order placement and order management and act as liaison between local sales and Products managers within the different factories to ensure project requirements and schedules are met. This may include generating CAD drawings, conceptual designs and design modifications to meet requirements. You will provide field engineering support, troubleshooting and re-design as necessary. This will require travels including site visits and customer meetings.
The Application Engineer provides periodic reports on significant projects activity, maintains a project tracking database and generates quotations. You will update customer's information into the CRM and participate in exhibitions, seminars and other events.
