Publiceringsdatum2013-07-05Dina arbetsuppgifterThe Application Engineer is a key member of the Partnering and Integration organization. The team you will be working in is the primary point of contact for all integration efforts in the EMEA region, both internally and externally and this position also provides support globally as required. You will work closely with our product development team and developers in video security systems worldwide. As an Application Engineer you will also support the development of the customer's applications that will utilize and interface with Pelco products using SDK tools and APIs. Development of use cases and sample code based on needs identified by working with our integration partners is a key function for this role. You will report to the EMEA Integrations Operations Manager on a regular basis. As an Application Engineer you will be the one that drives resolution of issues requiring cross-group collaboration and provide technical assistance and design consultation by phone, email and face to face contact.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We are looking for someone that has a bachelor's or master's degree and/or equivalent work experience in a related area. You should have a background in software development and you are proficient in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++ or JAVA. You should have a structured approach to debugging and troubleshooting practices and you are strong in both verbal and written communication. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of video security systems and components. As an Application Engineer you have knowledge in TCP and UDP network protocols and preferably Unicast as well as Multicast routing protocols.
