We have developed and strengthened our international business through organic growth and acquisitions. This strategy will continue over the coming years and accordingly we are looking for an Application Engineer to be based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
You will work in the department "Application Engineering- Fasten" and be responsible for the adaptation of NORMA coupling and connectors in Europe to meet our customer's needs. In this role, you are the main technical contact for NORMAs external customers and internal departments, and will ensure the efficient functioning and coordination of the project team at different plants in Europe. At first, you will focus on projects and products manufactured in our NORMA UK plant, which will mean regular travel to UK and daily phone contacts with our UK production engineers. You will then quickly start to work on other products and with other plants. You and the different project teams are responsible for the completion of AE Fasten projects according to the NORMA APQP process and within the defined costs, timeline and specifications.
To match the profile you need to have a degree in engineering or similar formal education. You should also be familiar with the design and production of metal components and have experience from project management, preferably in the automotive market. You should demonstrate that you are able to lead a team , provide clear direction, responsibilities and priorities. You need to be fluent in English, knowledge in another European language is a merit. You should also be willing to travel up to 20% of your time within Europe.
