Job summary
The engineers we are looking for thriving as a team player, and have a genuine interest in data engineering, analysis, statistics and mathematics as well as have built a good programming base (preferably in Python and/or R) which allows you to learn and test ideas by yourself.

The Role
Application Engineer/Data Engineer: You will be working with implementing customer-specific applications on top of our data analysis and data engineering tool Sympathy for Data. The data of our clients can be found in a large variety of formats and be stored in many different ways from flat files on local machines, network drives to small and big databases. You might be handling streaming or offline data. You will be involved in designing, building, optimising and maintaining the client's workflows and adding functionality to their custom libraries and plugins. Therefore, it is beneficial if you are familiar with writing good quality code and tests and working with CI systems.
Must-have qualifications
• M.Sc. in engineering with a focus on one or more of the following disciplines; statistics, mathematics, computer science, applied physics, mechatronics, electrical/electronic/nuclear engineering.
• Fluent English
• Several years of experience in Python or R.
