The East Europe Export team (EEX) belongs to the Xylem sales organization. We are responsible for the sales and the development of sales channels in 20 countries in East Europe. We are working with local partners in the region to supply our equipment to end users. The EEX team is spread out in Europe with responsible sales managers located in the region. The sales supportteam is located in Stockholm and is a group of 6 persons with technical background.
We are now looking an Application Engineer Dewatering to our Stockholm office!
Job descriptionThe Application Engineer Dewatering actively supports the sales process by providing reliable technical solutions for transporting unwanted water and industrial effluents. Responsibilities include technical support towards our partners and to make sure our partners have the needed knowledge level for supporting the local business.
Essential Duties:
* Supporting sales with technical and commercial information and managing correspondence and internal administration.
* Managing support cases, in the first instance to our distributors, but also to customers, consultants, and other stakeholders. This may include technical product questions, choice of products and to some extent the design of systems in which our products are included.
* Travelling in the region to support with local seminars/exhibitions, delivering presentations and propose dewatering solutions to local customers.
* Application engineering for dewatering applications. Performing analysis of different pumping application, selecting the most suitable equipment as well as securing system functionality.
* Constantly contributing to improving our sales support processes and streamline administration.
* Keeping up to date with the latest developments of xylem's products and services, making sure that we spread this information among our sales channels.
* Keeping informed about the latest developments in the relevant markets,monitoring of our partners and their sale in collaboration with our"regional managers".
* Maintaining professional business relationships with the Field Sales Team, Business Development Managers, global support functions and with the Customers.
* Keeping up to date with products and competitors.
Responsible for own competence level and skills development, in co-operation with next level manager.
Required Qualifications:
* BA/BS in Engineering
* Knowledgeable in water transport business or other relevant and related area of expertise (mining, construction) where pumping is essential.
* Experience in technical sales support or Customer Service
* Experience in sales and marketing
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software's
* Proficiency in English.
* Customer orientated and with a Supportive" mindset.
* Genuine interest in technology and the Environment
* Good communication, presentation, flexibility and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Fluent in other East European languages (Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Greek etc.)
* Experience in a multi-cultural environment
* Field experience from operation/maintenance of pumping systems
Travel requirement:
* Travelling will be required - estimated 30 day/year with trips ranging from 3 days up to a week in length. Travels can always be planned well ahead but requires independence.
