We operate within the field of automation and electric power and work with customers within hydropower, combined heat and power production, water & wastewater and infrastructure. We offer system solutions and are responsible for planning, design, installation, programming and commissioning.
Tasks for Lead Engineer Control Systems
In your role you will work in functional analysis and application design for different areas of a Waste to Energy plant, such as Waste to energy Boilers, Flue gas handling, Fuel handling and/or Balance of Plant. You will have contact with Lead engineers, other engineering groups, the project managers, local ABB offices and externally to customers during different phases of project execution.
The Task includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Plan and follow time schedules for ?your? projects
• Read and understand customer Functional specifications
• Produce detail Functional specifications and/or Loop diagrams as an input for programming
• Execute application design work (programming) and verify it towards Functional specifications.
• Update design documentations according to delivery/modifications.
• Support tender work for our quotations.
• Support our projects, both during project execution and during warranty.
• Site visits during design and commissioning.
• Knowledge in Electrical Integration to DCS is an advantage.
In order to meet our customers' requests we need to diversify from being a local Swedish unit to draw on ABB's entire network of competence. This includes business units in e.g. Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Tasks for Application Engineer Control Systems
In this role knowledge in programming is important, as well as knowledge in systems and applications. During the last years the Power Generation?s nuclear expansion in the context of the upgrade projects has resulted in a commitment that will last for many years to come. Our client relations are based on confidence and our projects usually span over several years. We are required to drive the work with the implementation of a new platform and to guide the client through 800xA implementation.
The Tasks includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Follow the defined project lifecycle like Design, verification and implementation.
• The Projects are document intensive and technical writing in Swedish is required.
• 800xA is the main platform used, good knowledge of 800xA platform, System functions, and Process Graphics is needed
• Good knowledge on Microsoft windows, network infrastructure, and IT-Security is an advantage.
Requirements
You can be from high school to Master engineer, the important thing is that you should have a genuine technical interest and good knowledge within Power plant applications.
It is advantage if you have worked with power generating plants and understand the processes. Experience with commissioning is an advantage.
Experience with ABB control systems 800xA and/or Symphony Plus is an advantage.
