Our team within the Marketing and Product Line department, act as a central hub for supporting portfolio handling related to our products in multi-directional turning (MDT), grooving and parting-off: aiming to establish a market leading position, along with increasing both existing and future sales. We are now looking for an Application Engineer to join our exciting area - a natural relationship builder who truly enjoys mixing personal interactions with product expertise.
Your mission
As Application Engineer, you work with our sales organization towards selected customers and selected segments and components - proposing and implementing solutions that create customer value. Your field experience is an important source of business intelligence to us, and you ensure relevant market input to our product management. You participate in product development projects and product introductions, and you share your knowledge and skills through various channels to support and develop others and to help growing our business.
The position requires frequent travel and when not travelling, you are located in Fagersta or any other Seco site.
Your character
We are looking for someone with several years' practical experience of metal cutting, where product knowledge and skills in CAD or CAM are highly valuable assets. In addition, we believe you have at least a basic technical education, while a higher education in a relevant field is advantageous. Since you have a large contact network in this position, you need excellent written and verbal skills in English. Skills in other languages are beneficial.
Your personality is very important to us. With high social skills and an open-minded approach, you easily collaborate and build strong relations in this international and cross-cultural environment. You take initiatives and are self-motivated which enables you to be successful in our business. Your good communication skills also come in handy when presenting, sharing information and supporting your co-workers.
