hela Sverige Nasdaq is now looking for a highly skilled Application Engineer to join at the Stockholm office. You will sit in the renovated former Ford assembly plant in Frihamnen, in our spacious and open plan factory-style campus, which houses 700 of Nasdaq's IT talent across many departments such as engineering, architecture, infrastructure, development and test.

About the team, role and responsibilities:
This position will give you the opportunity to be a part of our fantastic application management team, which is responsible for maintaining 100% system uptime for the trading environments we are operating. The application management team is responsible and accountable for designing, planning, building, testing and implementing new technical solutions. We are supporting the Business with operational related investigations, verifying, planning and conducting application upgrades, optimizing application performance, documentation, managing changes, business continuity planning and testing.
The job includes:
Through your role you will be a part of all activities related to the applications such as handling of incoming issues, incident solving, requirements and launching of new versions
Acting as a specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements
Taking part in performing recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and monitoring batch processes
Managing projects and independently carrying out our parts of large implementation projects
Education preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline
Experience preferred: 4 to 8 years in related area in Data Center, Trading, Computer or Network Operations
Demonstrate knowledge of Linux
Proven knowledge in Java, SQL and Perl
Problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work tasks within given timelines
Good interpersonal skills and a strong communicative ability in English, both verbally and in writing, Swedish language would be a merit.
