For the group Support Application Engineering, we are looking for an Application Engineer to take on new challenges throughout the world markets. The group consists of Lead Engineers, Application Engineers and a Group Manager. 8 men and 2 women's.
Support Application Engineering is an operational group that works with technical questions regarding installations of our products and support to our distributors around the world.
As an Application Engineer you will work with installation and application issues within our different business segments. We drive our customers' requests and becomes the customers voice internally. This also applies to questions regarding the interface around the engine installation.
Duties
Application Engineers supports the Engine sales organization in the technical dialogue with the Customer in the pre-sales and installation phases. You will work with installation questions with the customer designers and engineers throughout the installation phase with support from colleagues in and outside the group. Projects are implemented together with local Scania distributors Application Engineers. All projects ends with an installation inspection where any deviations to Scania's recommendations are documented and returned to the installer for action before the installation is approved.
You will also be responsible for an entire region in the world where you will raise awareness of Application issues and its importance forward so Scania Engines can achieve its long-term goal of delivering 12,000 engines in 2020.
The work is very varied and involves about 10 travel days / year but as Scania priorities personal development and maintaining positive life balance, we adapt ourselves continuously and resource balance our customer requests of support.
Your profile
Personal characteristics
In addition to a technical interest, the role requires that you are educational and well structured, you are easy to communicate with, collaborate and act convincingly. You are a good listener with the ability to manage your tasks all the way to the end.
Product Support involves daily work with end customer outside of factory and you will need to be interested to work and deliver in different cultures. You find it easy to express yourself primarily in English and also in Swedish, both spoken and written. Additional skills in other languages and sales experience is an advantage.
Experiences
Knowledge and Interest of working and developing customer relationship internal and externally. Knowhow of engines and experience in electronic control systems is always an advantage.
Focus areas as sustainability, connectivity and diversity are primary targets at Scania Engines and competence and interest in these sectors are advantageous as Scania and Engines are heading for the future.
