The global Manual shifter design teams are located in different countries like Sweden, India, the US and China. The Application Engineer we are currently searching for will work in the Swedish team in Mullsjö and will be focused on the Commercial Vehicle area.
Job profile
As an Application Engineer in the Manual shifter (MTX) team you will be a part of the Powertrain and chassis division and develop products for and with several large global customers.
Responsible of the technical definition, you will also, internally at KA, work mainly with contacts abroad, such as in the US, Brazil, China, India, Germany and Slovakia. You will have responsibility for product and drawing design in product improvement projects and new development projects, and have contact with project, purchasing, production and aftermarket organizations.
Your daily meetings will be primarily through phone or online meetings. All communication is in English, which is our corporate language. The pace of the work at KA is often quite high, which demands quick innovative problem solving and a well-structured daily work.
Travels are part of the work and can represent up to 25% of your time.

Candidate profile
Requirements:
• A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dimensioning and drawing modeling.
• Communicative with good skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Structured and with care of giving quality in your work deliveries
• Experience of CATIA V5, which is the mainly used 3D/2D software at KA.
• Knowledge of development tools like DFMEA, Tolerance stack.
Meriting:
• Experience of product development in earlier career.
• Experience in the Automotive Industry.
• Knowledge of design and production of products in plastic, rubber, steel and aluminum materials.
• Knowledge of German, French, Chinese, Hindi or other languages.
• Highly motivated.
