The department Geometry Development & Integration in the unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts has the responsibility to lead geometric system integration of complete cars and platforms. The car is divided into seven blocks, and there are seven Block Leaders with the overall responsibility for each block. Our first priority is to fill our needs in Catia V5 templates, but we also expect that you will take on the role as a Package Engineer or maybe even Block Leader if your interests and qualifications are consistent with what we desire in the future.

As Application Engineer - Catia V5 Template within the group Tophat Packaging, you will lead and support the department's method development projects to meet our future challenges. You will act as a go-to-person, educate colleagues in CATIA V5 'Templates' and also create CATIA-template models yourself. Good communication skills are required in this cross-functional role and you will build and maintain an extensive network throughout the company.

Main responsibilities

• Manage mechanical development projects using 'templates', i.e. implementation of flexible and robust design methodology in Catia V5
• Deliver operational support and training for the department
• Ensure common/best practice processes, methods and tools
• Documentation of results

Required qualifications

• Technical education (B.Sc or equivalent)
• Great experience in CATIA V5 for automotive design
• Experience from development of 'templates'
• Fluent in English written and spoken
• Previous work as Package Engineer is an advantage
