Purpose of the Job
The Application Business Partner bridges between the Application Domain, business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The role ensures that critical business applications are stable, secure, continuously improved and aligned with organizational needs.
In addition, the role acts as a Technical Project Leader, supporting and driving IT-related components of mobilization projects (e.g., new customer sites, POS rollouts, migrations, infrastructure setup). The position requires a combination of application ownership, vendor governance, requirement management, technical coordination and hands-on understanding of endpoint devices.
The role contributes to regional Communities of Practice and ensures harmonized standards, quality, and compliance across Sweden.
Context and Main responsibilities
The role operates in a diverse organisation with differences in maturity, infrastructure, suppliers and business models.
The main tasks include ensuring:
Alignment between local business needs and regional/global application strategies
Stable, compliant and secure application operations
Predictable execution of mobilization activities and IT deployments
Cross-functional and cross-border collaboration
Adherence to global ITIL processes
Main Assignments
Application Ownership & Service Delivery
Own the lifecycle, stability, security and compliance of core business applications.
Govern vendors and SLAs, drive continuous improvements and ensure adherence to global standards and ITIL processes.
Business Demand & Requirements
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and application domains.
Translate business needs into structured requirements and align local demand with regional/domain roadmaps and budgets.
IT Project & Mobilization Leadership
Lead IT-related deliverables for mobilizations and deployments (e.g. new customer sites, POS rollouts, upgrades and migrations).
Plan and coordinate systems, infrastructure, devices and suppliers to ensure predictable execution, risk control and timely delivery.
Technical & Operational Enablement
Ensure effective interaction between applications, devices and networks (POS, endpoints, payments).
Support validation, testing and troubleshooting to ensure solutions meet technical and operational expectations.
The candidate we are looking for:
Solid competence in IT Technology, Application Management and ITIL framework
Minimum 5 years' experience in Application Management, Service Delivery or System Implementation Projects
Proven experience as Service Manager, Project Manager or similar role for complex business applications
Experience with POS/Retail/Omnichannel
High-level understanding of application domains, integrations, IT landscapes and cloud/on-prem architectures
Strong experience in vendor governance and IT contract management
Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and client devices used at sites (POS, tablets, printers, payment terminals etc.)
Technical understanding enabling hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting
Fluent in English and Swedish, in writing and verbally
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in distributed/remote teams
Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to distinguish between user requests and true business needs
Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset
Willingness to travel within the cluster when required

Permanent employment. Working hours are standard office hours, Monday to Friday. Employment will commence as agreed.
