Entity/organization
Vehicle Development Project Management is part of Group Trucks Technology, GTT.
GTT encompasses all product development of engines, transmissions and trucks.

What we do:
We maintain the current heavy duty modular architecture and develop it for the future technologies, legislation and new functionality. The development of technology move fast and we will see several important new functions supported by increased amount of mechatronic solutions as well as increased services supported by connectivity.

What will you do:
Electrical Architecture used in North America differs from that used in Europe. While NA will be moving to that architecture, it will be some years out until it is fully implemented. As a result, the various tools we use must be sustained and not phased out. The objective of this assignment is to work with the software support team in Gothenburg to understand the tools used today in NA versus the global tools, and ensure the needs of NA are taken into account.

• Review current tools used in NA with support team, including SW configurator, Protom, TSP, VDA and SW Download for vehicles in US.
• Conduct evaluation/comparison of new tools (Protom, Jeep etc) which support TEA2+ Architecture.
• Establish bridge plan of tools which will ensure NA Architecture is supported until TEA2+ is implemented.
• Identify and list the changes required in global tools to support NA software functions
• Map user roles and evaluate missing roles/access for NA team and highlight roles/changes needed
• Present roadmap of when changes will be implemented on global tools and how continued support will be available for NA in the meantime.
